Kathy’s felted hanging of the entire picture

Kathy in our group has spent many hours this summer felting a wall hanging of the entire picture. I think you will agree that the finished panel is absolutely stunning and worth every hour of her time!. Look at this:

  2. Oh my heavens!! This was a project of monumental proportions!! WOW–Amazing!
    I wish you had a person in the latest photo…for scale.
    How did you felt all of those sections together into one cohesive whole? It looks like it was felted, not stitched together.
    Did you do it outside on a flat surface? With your feet?
    How thrilling to be part of something so wonderful.

      Hi Heather,

      Thanks for your comments! We certainly have had some fun making this piece! We felted 18 separate panels (by hand not feet!) and we have now mounted them onto a wooden board which we have hung on the wall. The piece is actually 18m square and I can vouch for the fact that ending up with a 1m squre piece is very hard work!
